Cleo has worked in commercial production since the 80’s – first in production and then, returning to her wardrobe background, moving into the costume department.
She is deep-rooted in fashion, textiles, design and film. Daughter of a film director and the renowned British designer Alice Pollock who founded iconic sixties fashion boutique Quorum and went on to open vintage American clothing emporium FLIP in London and then Los Angeles, where Cleo worked closely by her side.
After relocating back to London in 1994, Cleo opened Tomboy Kids in 2001, a curated children’s clothing store that carried both independent European designers and classic American work wear. Upon her return to Los Angeles in 2005, Cleo opened a second boutique in Silverlake where she continued as Tomboy’s buyer and creative director, adapting her selections to a new clientele, and adding a small selection of womenswear and home goods.
She closed the store location in 2014 to concentrate on wardrobe styling.
Cleo continues to develop her craft in Los Angeles working with directors and photographers from both the UK and US, offering a unique perspective and passion for storytelling through costume.
